IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to fluctuations in the COVID-19 infection rate in our community, please be sure to call the hospital at 916-288-0300 in advance to confirm visitation hours will be held on the day(s) you’re planning to visit your loved one.

Check in begins at 6:30 p.m., in the SVH main lobby.

Please read the important information below if you are the family member or loved one who intends to visit a patient receiving treatment at Sierra Vista Hospital.

Visitation Guidelines

Visitors are to leave all personal belongings locked in their vehicles. Car keys and ID only permitted in the building (absolutely NO cell phones). Leave approved patient property with Reception to be itemized and taken to the unit, not to the visit.

Adolescent Unit

  • Visitation Time: 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm (1 Hour)
  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Adult Units

  • Visitation time: 7:00 pm-8:00 pm (1 Hour)
  • Tuesday and Thursday

Visitors check in at SVH main lobby.

  • Mask Required (Surgical Mask or N95); provided at the entrance into the lobby
  • Visitation will be held in the Hospital Cafeteria or GYM areas. – Staff will be present at all times.
  • Our Mental Health Technicians will assist in escorting visitors throughout designated facility areas.
  • Visitors must be screened for prohibited items upon entry.
  • Schoolbooks and small amounts of money are the only items that can be brought to patients during visitation. Cigarettes change to “Smoking” is not allowed in our facility.
  • Two visitors are allowed per visitation.
  • Calling or visiting a patient requires a patient identification number. The patient will be provided with an identification number during the admission process. The patient determines to whom he or she gives this identification number.
  • Children age 12 or younger are not counted as one of the two visitors.
  • Zoom visitation will be arranged as appropriate.
